The ’07 vintage delivered nicely concentrated Chardonnay fruit, which we have enhanced with a softening malo-lactic fermentation and delicate use of oak. The nose shows taut minerality with notes of lemons, peaches, limes and poached nectarines. The palate continues with more creamy lemon and a supple, lithe texture on the mid-palate with elegant length and structure. Best enjoyed with food, this wine is drinking very well at release and will continue to develop over the next five years.

Rockburn Chardonnay 2007 Earns Four Stars in Cuisine Magazine - Rockburn backs up its achievements with red Burgundy (Pinot Noir) with this white Burgundy. It is attractively austere, crisp and appley. "It pressed my Chablis button," said Olly Masters.
F & B Magazine, July 2008: Peter’s Picks, pg 13. “Sturdy young Central Otago chardonnay with a lot in behind, should open up as one year passes towards two. Definitive chardonnay, well fruited and properly spined without excesses and unfolding very well. A serious wine which also retains its drinkability.”
