The 2026 vintage proved to be uniquely challenging season; however, the challenges were well signposted and slow to develop, allowing us to be well prepared as picking began.
The cool summer eased into a long, warm and settled autumn, making for a relatively leisurely harvest despite the high volumes processed at Rockburn.
The sub-regions truly shone this year, with the cooler conditions allowing greater nuance to be expressed from site to site, and some very bright aromatics evolving in both Pinots and the whites.
The components of each of our Pinots in barrel are already showing great complexity and character, and we will be watching their élevage with excitement over the next 10 months.
