Somm Wine Bar & Bistro x Rockburn Dinner

 

On Wednesday 10th September, Somm Wine Bar & Bistro (on Auckland's Princess Wharf), hosted an intimate four-course dinner with Rockburn Wines winemaker Malcolm Rees-Francis.

Throughout the evening, Malcolm shared insights into his winemaking journey and the Central Otago terroir that shapes Rockburn’s acclaimed wines.

FIRST COURSE / ON ARRIVAL - 2025 Rockburn Stolen Kiss Rosé

- Fried green olives

- Beef tartare toast


SECOND COURSE - 2024 Rockburn Pinot Gris

- Prosciutto, guindilla pepper, potato chips


THIRD COURSE - 2024 Rockburn Amber

- Grilled chicken skewer, parsnip, Amber wine butter sauce

 

FOURTH COURSE - 2023 Rockburn Pinot Noir

- Venison bourguignon vol-au-vent


TO FINISH - 2023 Rockburn Seven Barrels "Dick Bunton Vineyard" Pinot Noir

- Comté cheese, oat cracker
